Event Details

The nineteen members of Bottleneck Drive (wineries and cider companies) are honored to invite our guests to join us for a unique weekend of wine and food culture. Throughout the weekend, several events, focusing on wine and food, will take place in Summerland, allowing guests to enjoy our town’s finest wines and ciders, as well as its’ beautiful nature and scenery.
Our guests will enjoy a first hand, wine tasting experience conducted by the wineries winemakers on-board of the KVR train while traveling along the old KVR trail, showcasing the beauty and the natural scenery of Summerland.
Following the train ride, a three course dinner paired with Bottleneck Drive wines will be served at the old KVR train station, accompanied by live music. Winemakers will join the guests at their dinner tables offering information about their wines and the wine-making process in general. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in an attractive live and silent auction.
Net proceeds from the auction will be donated to the KVR so it will keep improving the experience it offers to the community for many years to come.
The following day, participating wineries will host guests for a free vineyard tour, and/or free winery tours. Other events, offered by individual wineries, will be published soon here on our website. We are considering adding a wine lecture on Sunday morning, for those guests who might be interested.
Guests who purchase tickets for the event will be entitled to a 10% discount for all wine and cider purchased at a member winery or cidery during the weekend (from Friday, September 2nd through until Monday, September 5th) – by presenting your ‘first class’ event pass at any member winery and/or cidery.
Ticket includes: reception, KVR historical train ride and all on-board wine tasting, wine-makers’ dinner, live music, the opportunity to participate in the live and silent auction, and your exclusive ‘first class’ pass which offers 10% discount at all Bottleneck Drive member wineries and and cideries. Tickets are limited and are sold exclusively through members of Bottleneck Drive.
