Job posting: Faculty Fellow with the Department of Environmental Studies at NYU

FACULTY FELLOW WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES The Department of Environmental Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Science at New York University invites applications for the position of Faculty Fellow. The appointment will be for one year beginning September 1, 2018, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year pending administrative and budgetary approval. The successful applicant will be an interdisciplinary scholar ready to contribute to the education of undergraduates majoring in Environmental Studies, teaching three courses per year that fulfill the major’s “governance” requirement. We welcome candidates from a broad range of social science and policy backgrounds (e.g., environmental studies, geography, political science, sociology, economics, public policy). We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in Global Environmental Governance. Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. no more than five years before the appointment date. Candidates should apply with a cover letter, CV, three (3) confidential letters of recommendation, a teaching statement, and a writing sample.
